The rating of the wine reflects the mean value from a tasting by our jury.
The wine was evaluated in a blind tasting.
The wine was tasted as a barrel sample or before an official test number (Amtliche Prüfungsnummer or Staatliche Prüfnummer) was issued.
The wine exhibited a sensory abnormality during our tasting. This does not necessarily have to be a qualitative defect or a wine fault. In the case of a qualitative impairment, a devaluation or rejection was made depending on the type and severity of the defect or wine fault.

Full straw yellow. On the nose, the ripe peach and nectarine notes of the 2015 vintage meet the typical cool cassis aroma of the Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg. Complex mineral scent with subtle ethereal component. On the tongue, juicy Riesling fruit. Fine, elegant and excellently integrated acidity. Seems a bit playful despite high concentration. Not quite dry. Excellent length.

Pale yellow with citrus core. Abtsberg-typical, complex scent of cassis and grapefruit. On the tongue it is juicy, multi-layered and full-bodied, with vibrant, ripe and distinctive acidity. Clear cassis aromas again. Great finesse and elegance. Outstanding length and depth.

Reflective green gold. Complex bouquet with very fine notes of ripe fruit and hints of cassis. On the tongue, the fruit then unfolds, the cassis aroma now clearly emerging. Carried by delicate sweetness and perfectly integrated, ripe and harmonious acidity, the “Superior” seems almost a little creamy on the tongue at times. But then an acid accent heralds the long finish. Somewhat phenolic in the finish. Great length.
